Last updated: July 16, 2020

We are pleased to advise that following the unanticipated delay as a result of COVID-19, we were recently able to re-start the final phase of our fairlife plant build in Peterborough, ON.

We are all very excited about this development and we expect to begin making fairlife in Canada using 100% Canadian milk in the Fall.

Update: March 30, 2020

Like many of you, we have been closely watching the status of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. First, our thoughts and well-wishes are with the people who have been affected by the virus, as well as everyone who is working to protect impacted communities. These are challenging times for everyone, and we are doing our part to help prevent further spread of the virus while continuing to support the needs of our employees, consumers, customers and communities.

Our company’s approach during this difficult situation is grounded in our purpose, which puts people first and ensures that we have the right plans in place to adequately respond to the needs of our communities.

In June 2018, Coca-Cola Ltd. announced an $85 million investment to build a new manufacturing facility in Peterborough, Ontario to produce fairlife milk using 100% Canadian dairy. We have been working diligently for two years to deliver on our commitment to begin manufacturing and distribution in Spring 2020.

Until now, construction has remained on schedule and we are currently in the final stages of completing the plant build and accepting Canadian milk. Due to current travel restrictions in Canada and around the world, however, we are currently unable to assemble the needed teams to complete the remaining equipment calibration and testing required at the facility. As a result, we now expect the opening of the facility to be delayed until later this year.

We want to assure you we remain steadfast in our support of the Canadian dairy industry, and we remain committed to producing fairlife with Canadian milk in 2020. Included are some recent photos of our plant development, showcasing progress on both the exterior and interior as well as a successful packaging test.

fairlife is a delicious, one of kind, kind of milk that Canadian consumers love. We remain committed to our support of the Canadian dairy industry, and we are committed to producing fairlife in Canada, with Canadian milk, as soon as we can.

We appreciate your understanding as we navigate through these unprecedented times and ensure the health and safety of our people and partners.
